Permanent exhibition of the Museum is situated in one of the buildings of the architectural complex in Round Square (1770’s). Exhibition describes nature and culture of Karelia connected to the overall Russian and North European history. Descriptions of the exhibits are provided in Russian and in English.
“Nature of Karelia” Exhibit
The exhibition on the nature of Karelia is located in the building that is part of the former House - complex of the Head of Olonets mining district (1770’s). The exhibit has ‘smart lights’ and multimedia kiosks that reproduce sounds by birds and animals, videos, games for kids and parents.
Family playroom is a unique space, where the whole family can enjoy time to good purpose. One can play with replicas of Karelians and Finns household items and traditional toys, try on their national costumes, and take part in interactive classes conducted by skillful educators.
